INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING THERAPY.

Life can be wonderful and hard. No one is immune to physical injuries and similarly, no one is immune from the circumstances of life impacting psychological health. Individual counselling therapy is designed to support people in managing everyday stressors, challenging life circumstances, and past experiences, that cause distress or impact quality of life.

  • Individual therapy is a one-on-one process between you and I. It typically begins by discussing the reasons you are seeking therapy and collaborating on an effective treatment plan. The plan will be tailored to the improvements in health or life you seek.

Though individual circumstances may differ, the overall goal is to support you in reducing the distress that life stressors, challenging circumstances or past negative experiences can have on yourself, including your health, relationships or career. Symptoms of distress can present in many ways, such as difficulty sleeping, fatigue, trouble focusing, low mood, negative thoughts, feeling restless or anxious, trouble breathing, emotional reactivity, desire to isolate, and much more.

Often the impact from stress or experiences is reasonable and the symptoms more common that you think. In a safe and confidential environment, I am trained in evidenced-based approaches, proven to reduce symptoms of distress, work through challenging experiences, and allow for desired change in many aspects of health and life.
